Whether you're a music fan or not, you'll be one sure enough when you leave, after exploring Austin. The capital city of Texas is known as the 'Live Music Capital of the World' and it won't disappoint. This town has more live music venues per capita than anywhere else in the U.S. Residents take this title very seriously and you'll find the creative juices are flowing in every direction in Austin. The park features numerous playgrounds, open fields, hiking trails, picnic areas, a children's train and the Umlauf Sculpture Garden and Museum.

Another great outdoor spot in Austin is Lady Bird Lake. Ten miles of trails border the lake and they are favorite stomping grounds for local hikers, runners and cyclists.
